Parvathamma Rajkumar critical, put on ventilator: Doctors

FollowThe condition of Sandalwood producer and wife of matinee idol Dr Rajkumar Parvathamma Rajkumar who is admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital has turned critical as she developed breathing problems since last night. She is now on ventilator support, said the doctors treating her.
Addressing a press conference at the hospital premises, Doctors Naresh Shetty and Sanjay Kulkarni said that she was shifted to ICU after she developed breathing problem. However, her vital organs are being monitored. A team of doctors consisting oncologist and nephrologist are monitoring her health.
Visibly upset, Shivarajkumar said that "Amma is slightly doing better since last night. But, we are worried that she is on the ventilator support." His brother Raghavendra Rajkumar told media that the family has trust in the team of doctors looking after her and at this juncutre, the family needs only the prayers.
Explaining the reason behind calling a flash press meet, the family and doctors said that they did not want any wrong information to spread. "We do not want any wrong information to go out. So, we decided to meet the press. The hospital will issue a timely bulletin," said Raghavendra Rajkumar.
Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood visited the hospital and enquired about her health. A tight security has been provided at the hospital premises. Parvathamma Rajkumar was a pillar of strength for the Sandalwood. She set up her own banner Sri Vajreshwari Combines to provide stability and strength to Kannada movie-makers when there was no support to them.
