DIG Roopa has alleged that the CCTV camera footages of her visit to the prisons have been deleted. She also expressed concerns over various issues inside the prisons, as the authorities are almost cornering her after submission of her first report.

Here are five questions raised in DIG Roopa's second report:

1) Why have the jailers not been suspended even after the issue came to light?

2) Footage of two CCTV cameras missing?

There are two CCTV cameras at the visitor's room. Why have the footage of camera number 7 and 8 have been deleted? There are no documents of which prisoner met whom? Action should be taken in this regard.

3) Special visitor's room for Sasikala?

Does Shashikala meet her visitors in a special room? She has one chair for herself, one table and four other chairs in front of her. A jail officer had complained about this to DIG Roopa.

4) DIG Roopa's visit to Sasikala's barack not found?

The footage of DIG's visit to Shashikala's barrack not found. Roopa had made sure to record the happenings in the cameras at the jail during her visit inside the jail.

5) Recorded footage also missing?

The footage which were recorded were also found missing. This is an effort to destroy the proof to irregularities in the Parappana Agrahara jail. DIG Roopa have asked for action against those who are responsible for missing footage.

A prisoner (on anonymity) had given the footage of inside of the Parappana Agrahara to Suvarna channel. The footage showed the illegal happenings inside the Parappana Agrahara jail.
