Old BJP cases to revive Will Cong get vengeful

The State Government is seriously considering reviving old cases pertaining to BJP leaders, in the light of Central Government indulging in vengeful politics, reported Kannada Prabha.

The State Government is contemplating reviving the cases pending regarding B S Yeddyurappa, Shobha Karandlaje, Eshwarappa, Jagadish Shettar, B J Puttaswamy, Sriramulu and MLAs Aswathanarayana and MP P C Mohan.  By reviving the cases bringing it to the public knowledge that BJP leaders are no less in accumulating disgustingly disproportionate assets, the State Government is said to be thinking of sending at least 3 leaders to jail.

Strengthening this rumour is the fact that the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called a meeting of the senior police officials in key positions and held long discussions with them on Thursday.  He held separate talks with Anti-Corruption Squad officials, CID senior officials, senior police officials present and retired and also Lokayukta officials.

The State Government is gathering information about BJP legislators who are involved in major land scams in Bengaluru and surrounding constituencies. The Chief Minister has personally obtained all details regarding cases at various stages of investigations with regard to BJP present and former legislators and ministers.

Serious thoughts are being given to take to logical end the B S Yeddyurappa’s PA’s scam, Jagadish Shettar’s Hubli Jamakhana field encroachment, Shobha Karandlaje’s electricity purchase scam, Bengaluru BJP legislators S R Vishwanath, Dr Aswathanarayana, Muniraju, B J Puttaswamy, former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, MP P C Mohan and others facing charges in land scam and corruption cases.

The government is rumoured to take action against Puttaswamy accused in purchase of 10 acres of Gomala land near T Dasanapura valued at Rs 40 crores in the name of Vishva Ganiga Trust,  and in a case against D C Ayyappa. The government is also contemplating quickening the cases based on complaints lodged by KPCC Legal Cell regarding private conversation between Union Minister Ananth Kumar and B S Yeddyurappa about funds given to high command.

It has been said that the CM has asked for detailed information at what stages are the cases against former minister and current legislator C T Ravi and scams against Sriramulu, MLA D N Jeevaraj, former minister A Ramadas, and molestation case against Haratalu Halappa.  Even the background of the incident of seizing Rs 2 crore at Vidhana Soudha is also being considered for re inquiry.

However, close aids of Siddaramaiah say that Congress must not lose out on the sympathy wave created by the IT raid. The entire nation is angry about the Hitler attitude of BJP by ordering IT raid on D K Shivakumar who stopped the Operation Lotus on Gujarat legislators.  The Vokkaliga community especially feels BJP is out to politically finish any one going against it. At this juncture, reviving the cases of BJP leaders will make Congress lose the sympathy wave, they feel.  The sources say Siddaramaiah will not take a  stand in a hurry.
