Nityananda Swami kidnapped Kanchi Swami

The followers of Kanchipuram Thondai Mandala Adheenam Gnanaprakash mutt have lodged a complaint with police that Nityananda Swamy of Bidadi has kidnapped their Guru Gnanaprakash Desigar, reported Kannada Prabha.

A few months ago the followers of Nithyananda Swamy of Bidadi Ashram were permitted to stay at the Thondai Mandala Ashram by Gnanaprakash Swamy. Eventually there was friction between two groups at the Ashram.  The followers of Gnanaprakash Swamy had requested their leader to sort out the issue and call for a meeting of all devotees of the mutt on July 30.

However when the devotees arrived for the meeting they found the mutt locked up and the Swamy’s whereabouts were unknown. They tried to call the Swamy on his mobile but it was switched off. Hence they lodged a complaint with the police.

The police investigated into the complaint and reported that Gnanaprakash Swamy was in Bengaluru and would soon return to Kanchipuram. The mystery is not yet solved.
