It is reported that Shivakumar's supporters even tried to gain entry into his house. The supporters raised slogans against the Central government for using the IT department to their advantage. Some of the Congress workers even staged a protest at the Gandhi statue in Seshadripuram.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah condemned the raid on his cabinet colleague in strong words. The Centre is taking "using" the IT department for its benefits. "This is undemocratic. People will not forget this and will teach BJP a lesson," Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was joined by minister Dinesh Gundu Rao in criticising the Centre for the raid.
