Kagodu's daughter and Koliwad's son among KPCC's new office-bearers
- KPCC goes for a jumbo team inducting 171 office-bearers including some big names
- Siddaramaiah, Parameshwar, Mallikarjun Kharge and Oscar Fernandes' supports get preference, other disappointed
- Several new entrants are family members of ministers and film actors
- BL Shankar, actor Bhavana, Darshan’s mother, Koliwad’s son and Kagodu Thimmappa’s daughter get entry
FollowAs anticipated Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has been reconstituted with a Jumbo Team of 171 office-bearers. The earlier number was 107. Â The new team consists of 17 vice-presidents, 57 general secretaries and 96 secretaries. The list was released by KPCC on Wednesday.
It can be seen at the outset that those supporting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Parameshwar have got the first preference. Second preference has been given to Mallikarjuna Kharge and Oscar Fernandes' supporters. The rest of the leaders have been sidelined and this is a clear indication of dissent waiting to come out in the open, reports Kannada Prabha.
Under the One Person One Post policy, ministers, legislators, MLCs and chairpersons of Corporations have been kept out of the list. The previous office-bearers like ministers Roshan Baig, Ramalinga Reddy, Satish Jarkiholi, Krishna Byregowda, Khadar have been left out. None of the minister figure in the list.
However, legislators and chairpersons of corporations have been more fortunate. Upper House member K Govindaraj, CM’s personal assistant, is the General Secretary, Bhosraj, KPCC president’s personal assistant is the vice-president. Oscar Fernandes’s personal assistant Gafoor and KPCC president’s personal assistant Shafiullah, who are chairpersons of corporations have got the opportunity.
This time, the family members of bigwigs have got ample opportunities. Minister Kagodu Thimmappa’s daughter Dr Nandini, Speaker K B Koliwad’s son Prakash Koliwad, Minister H K Patil’s brother DR Patil, MP Rehman Khan’s son Mansoor Khan, former minister KH Ranganath’s son Bhaskar, BK Hariprasad’s brother BK Shivaram have been included in the list. Some of the interesting names included are film actor Darshan’s mother Meena Tugudeepa, actor Bhavana, Dr Nagalakshmi, principal of Siddharth Medical College, Tumakuru, owned by Dr Parameshwar’s family.
