Karnataka Election Result 2018 Live Updates: Congress talks to JDS, offers to make Kumaraswamy CM?

Karnataka Elections 2018 was witnessed on May 12 and today (May 15), the stage is set for counting of votes.

Though the BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the Karnataka Assembly elections with leads on 106 seats, it is still short of the half-way mark. According to reports published in several media websites, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is in talks with the JDS leadership for a post-poll alliance in the state. 

Post the fear of defeat; Congress is trying its luck to form the government with an alliance with JD(S). Sources also said that HD Kumaraswamy of JD(S) also has been offered the post of CM. It is said that former AICC chief Sonia Gandhi herself is holding talks with JD(S) Supremo and former PM HD Deve Gowda to form an alliance.
