PM Modi to launch Kalaburagi to Bidar direct train operational from Oct 29

  • The Kalaburagi and Bidar railway track has been completed and it will be inaugurated on Oct 29 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • The 2 km tunnel at Maragutti posed a big challenge and it has been completed and the 104 km long track will finally connect the two major cities.
  • The track will also reduce travel of about 300 km and save a travel time of 4 to 5 hours for trains travelling between Bengaluru and Delhi.
Kalburgi Bidar direct rain from Oct 29 to be launched by PM Modi

The Kalaburagi and Bidar railway track has been completed and it will be inaugurated on October 29 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reported Kannada Prabha.

It’s a long standing demand by the people of both the districts and the civil works has also taken more than one and half years since its commencement.  The 2 km tunnel at Maragutti posed a big challenge and it has been completed. The preparations are in full swing for inauguration by Prime Minister Modi on October 29. The 104 km long track will finally connect the two major cities of historical importance.

The track will also reduce travel of about 300 km and save a travel time of 4 to 5 hours for trains travelling between Bengaluru and Delhi. Hitherto, the trains from Kalaburagi were travelling via Doud junction at Maharshtra and enter Madhya Pradesh. Now the trains will go directly from Kalaburagi to Bidar and through Nanded in Maharashtra enter Madhya Pradesh.
