25-year old  job aspirant from Udupi did not know what was in store for her when she sat for the interview of a renowned bank at Bannerghatta Road. The BCom graduate had appeared for the final round and was awaiting for her results when she got a call from an unknown number. The person on the other side identified himself as Rohan and said that he was from the HR team and wished to speak to her in private.

He further asked her to come out of the branch premises and meet him across the road. Mary followed his instructions, but to her shock things turned out to be different. Rohan informed her that she had failed the interview and that he could help her get the job. He invited her to his home for "further discussions" but the girl refused. He then asked her to get in his car, which was also refused by the girl. Finding no other way out, Rohan started pulling her inside the car in public.

Mary somehow escaped from his clutches and ran inside the bank and reported the case to the authorities. The authorities, to her shock, said that there was no one called Rohan in the HR team and that she had already got the job. Mary, nevertheless, rejected the offer. On May 23, the bank called her up again to know her final decision and Mary decided not to join. She, instead, filed a complaint at the MICO layout police station.

The man said the girl had failed the interview, but he could help her win it back.

Speaking to the Bangalore Mirror, the girl said, "The incident happened last Monday. I went to the bank at Arakere on BG Road for the interview at around 3 pm and the main recruiter took my interview. Subsequently, two more managers took my interview. By the time the interview got over, it was 6 pm. I was asked to wait for the results. Around 7 pm, a person, identifying himself as Rohan, called me, claiming to be from the HR team. When I went to talk to him after crossing the road, he said that I had failed in the interview, but he can still get me a job. He invited me to his house. When I refused, he said that he could not hear my voice properly due to traffic and asked me to get into his car. When I said no, he misbehaved with me in public."

The MICO layout police station registered a case of sexual harassment. An officer said, "Since the caller had all her information, he is definitely an insider. Since previous round of interviews were held at a consultancy, the accused could be possibly even from the firm. We are checking the details of the accused based on the phone number which he had spoken to the victim."
