The Rally for Rivers campaign undertaken by Sadguru Jaggi Vasudeva’s Isha Foundation covering 7,000 km across seven states will have its stopover in the City on Saturday. A mammoth convention has been planned at the Palace Grounds, reports Kannada Prabha.
Kannada Prabha and Suvarna Channel are cosponsoring the convention which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, scion of Mysuru royal family, Union Minister HN Anantha Kumar, actor Puneeth Rajkumar, Water Resources Minister MB Patil, MP PC Mohan, and others will be participating in the programme. Around one lakh people are expected to attend the convention.
The convention is being held to create awareness on the need to revive, develop and conserve rivers for the future generation.
