Horror on flyover: Biker plunges to death from Electronic City flyover

FollowIn a chilling accident, a bike rider and his pillion fell from the flyover after their two-wheeler was hit by a car from rear at Hosur Road Elevated Expressway or Electronics City flyover near Garebhavipalya on Saturday. While the rider died on the spot, the pillion rider has been rushed to St John's Hospital.
According to Suvarna News the impact of the accident was such that the riders banged on the vehicles that were moving underneath the flyover and sustained severe head injuries. The identity of the victims is yet to be established. The pillion rider has been shifted to St Johns hospital.
Vehicles piled up on the flyover after the accident. Madiwala police who rushed to the spot were in for a shock seeing how the riders fell from the flyover. For the retaining wall of the flyover was tall enough to prevent such accidents. An eyewitness told Suvarna News that this was the second incident on the same flyover in the recent months. The eye-witness has a tea shop in front of the flyover and he said he had earlier witnessed a similar accident on the same spot.
Madiwala police have registered the case and are investigating.
