Homoeopathy doctors banned from selling medicines at clinic

Following complaints that Homeopathy doctors are selling medicines in their clinics the Central Government is implementing a new rule banning Homoeopathy doctors from selling medicines at clinics. They can only prescribe but not sell, reported Kannada Prabha.

Doctors are prohibited from selling medicines. Commercial interests will have an adverse effect on doctors if they sell medicines at clinics. Hence the action said a senior officer from the government. Meanwhile, licence will be issued to sell Homeopathy medicines along with Alopathy medicines.  

Until now separate license was required to sell Homeopathy medicines. However, both Alopathy and Homeopathy medicines should be kept separately the rule insists. The action was also initiated as complaints were received that unqualified persons are selling Homeopathy medicines.
