Amruthapura village in Kotenadu, Holalkere Taluk, Chitradurga district, is inhabited by mostly nomadic tribes. A government school in the village completely crashed down when a huge tree fell on it in the last rainy season.

The villagers appealed to the Minister to construct a building but to no avail. This was reported in the media.

Osat, an organisation consisting of NRIs took note of the media reports are decided to take action.  It arrived at the village and constructed a modern hi-tech school and gifted it to the government.

The villagers have no bounds for their happiness at the most modern facilities provided at the school by the Osat and are in full praise for the organisation.  They say, when corruption is ruling the government, the gesture of the NRIs is a lesson emulating for the people’s representatives.
