Here is why SM Krishna is not seen on the dais with BJP leaders Amit Shah Yeddyurappa Congress

The veteran politician made huge news when he quit Congress after serving the party for over 50 years and then joined BJP amidst a grand welcome. But here ended the grandeur as he is no more seen along with any leaders of the BJP.

It was speculated that SM Krishna would be a strong face of BJP, whereas Congress had just neglected the developments. Yeddyurappa who had promised an important role to SM Krishna doesn't even invite him to the party meetings.

Amit Shah visited the party members in Karnataka, took them to the task but did not speak to SM Krishna nor speak anything about him. It looks like he is not invited for any of the top meetings of the party.

All this avoiding started after the Gundlupet and Nanjangud by elections. These two constituencies were a matter of prestige to both Congress and BJP. SM Krishna had just joined BJP and was campaigning for the party candidates. BJP might have thought that this senior leader can pull all the Vokkaliga votes.

However, it looks like people than going behind the leader of their caste may be done not like Krishna leaving Congress and joining BJP. As a result, despite campaigning by 84-year-old Krishna BJP lost both the Constituencies.

This was the last time Krishna was seen speaking in the public during BJP events. Later on one occasion, he was made to share the stage with BJP leaders for a party programme. Apart from that, he is nowhere seen sharing space with BJP leaders.

Did BJP decide that there is no charisma left in the ex-Congress leader and decide to keep him away from party happenings?

His main contention with Congress was that he was not being respected and considered for active politics. With what intentions and expectation he joined BJP are not known. But it is very clear that BJP is treating him worse than Congress leaders.

Will he ever be seen on the state or taking part in the meeting convened by BJP's state and national leaders?

It was speculated that his name would be referred from Karnataka for the post of Vice President. But there was no such announcement, and now there is no suitable post for SM Krishna's stature in the BJP too.

Has SM Krishna turned dummy politician in what can be called as the last stage of his political career?
