The HC has extended the interim order issued earlier by 2 more weeks not to arrest HDK. H D K has filed an application to SC to stay the investigation and hence requested time. The case filed against Dharam Singh may be dismissed following his demise.
The High Court has extended the interim order issued earlier by two more weeks instructing the Lokayukta Special Team not to arrest former chief minister and JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy with regard to Janthakal mining scam, reported Kannada Prabha.

Meanwhile the anticipatory bail application filed by H D Kumaraswamy has been taken up by a single judge bench headed by justice Ratnakala on Thursday. Special prosecutor arguing for SIT P Govindan requested that H D Kumaraswamy had filed an application to Supreme Court to stay the investigation and the application is in the process of hearing, hence requested time. The court granted the requested time period.
Meanwhile, the case filed against former chief minister Dharam Singh, alleging his involvement in the scan may be dismissed following his demise. Both the investigation and the case will be dropped.
