This time JD(S) workers who are all geared up for a State-wide campaign under the leadership of their leader and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy may have to tone down their campaign at least sans fire-crackers. Considering the health of JD(S) State president Kumaraswamy, the party is expected to request the workers not to burst crackers during the campaign shows.

In fact, Kumaraswamy recently underwent a valve replacement surgery as he had been suffering from aortic regurgitation or leaking of the heart valve.  It is reported that Kumaraswamy has grown allergic to infections and considering his fragile health, the party has decided to lay down certain conditions to the party, reports Deccan Herald.

The party will appeal to the workers not to garland Kumaraswamy or burst fire-crackers when he visits their constituency. It is reported that a circular mandating the workers from garlanding their leader will soon be sent out to all the party offices in the state.

Meanwhile, the JD(S) leader who was expected to begin his campaign to counter the BJP's Parivarthan Yatra on November 3 has cancelled the programme following the death of JD(S) MLA S Chikkamadu. It was reported earlier that Kumaraswamy would offer prayers atop Chamundeshwari hill and begin his campaign from Chamundeshwari constituency. However, he has now rescheduled his campaign, it is reported. As part of the campaign, the JD(S) will have at least 50 vehicles with big LED screens that will criss-cross the State. These screens will showcase a 30-minute film on Kumaraswamy's achievements during his chief minister's tenure.
