Dr Rajkumar's daughter-in-law, Geetha Shivarajkumar, to enter Congress?

Rumours fuelled after AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi met Dr Rajkumar's family to pay his condolences to Parvathamma Rajkumar, who passed away, recently at their residence in Sadashivnagar, on Monday.
Energy Minister DK Shivakumar took the initiative of introducing Geetha Shivarajkumar to Rahul Gandhi. He introduced her as daughter of former Congress leader Bangarappa and wife of Hat-trick Hero Shivarajkumar's wife. He also went on to say that Geetha had contested the last General election from Shivamogga on a JD(S) ticket and in the same breath, he said she is keen to contest on a Congress ticket, in the next year's Assembly election.
While this was a surprise remark by DK Shivakumar but what was more surprising was that neither Geetha nor Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tried to correct him, reports Kannada Prabha. Even Karnataka in-charge Congress leader KC Venugopal and KPCC president G Parameshwar were witness to it but they chose to stay mum fuelling the rumours that she might join Congress.
It may be recalled here that Geetha had contested on a JD(S) ticket from Shivamogga against BJP veteran BS Yeddyurappa during the last general election. Geetha has a rich political legacy - her father S Bangarappa was Congress veteran and a former chief minister. Even her brothers Kumar Bangarappa, Sandalwood actor-turned politician was a Congress loyalist till last year. He is now a BJP leader. Her another sibling Madhu Bangarappa is a JD(S) leader. There were rumours that Madhu Bangarappa would join Congress.
But she would be the first from Dr Rajkumar's family to contest the elections, if she decides so, this year. For, despite the pressure for matinee idol Dr Rajkumar to join politics, he never yielded to it. He has always kept himself and his family away from politics, while his counterparts in Tamil and Telugu movies went on to carve successful careers in politics, too.
Geetha's husband and Sandalwood actor Shivarajkumar - on many occasions - has said that he would not have any problem, if Geetha decides about her political career.
