Youth forced to apologise after his FB post on Pakistan's win against India

Facebook post on pakistan win hurt right wing activists

Turuvekere resident Shameel Ahmed's post on Pakistan's win has irked many pro-Hindu activists who has demanded an apology from him. Shameel Ahmed posted on his Facebook page “Pakistan I love you, this is my Pakistan’s victory. Like this”,  after Pakistan won the ICC Champion Cricket Trophy on Sunday. One Jagadish Babu lodged a police complaint against this. Several pro-Hindu organisations also protested against this. Immediately, CPI Ramachandraiah and SI Honne Gowda swung into action and searched and brought Shameel Ahmed to the station, reports Kannada Prabha.

He was made to apologise to the protesting Pro-Hindu organisations and police officers in public. Shameel Ahmed said he was appreciating Pakistan’s team effort and did not mean any harm and that it was not done to hurt national sentiments. The police let him go and the incident saw a peaceful end.
