Dont call me Yeddyurappa if I dont send Siddaramaiah to jai

“Don’t call me Yeddyurappa if I don’t win the next election, form the government, probe into Siddaramaiah’s scams and don’t keep him in Central jail” thundered former chief minister, State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa. He also came down heavily on Siddaramaiah and said “to curtail our fight against corruption, chief minister Siddaramaiah has reopened a ten year old case. I will not be bogged down by hundreds of  such cases”.

He was speaking at the protest rally held in the City on Friday at Freedom Park, prior to Vidhana Soudha gherao, demanding resignation of Energy Minister D K Shivakumar and Ramesh Jarkiholi, who were subjected to Income Tax raid.

B S Yeddyurappa got so emotional that at one stage he addressed the Chief Minister in the singular.  He said “by reopening a ten year old case Siddaramaiah is resorting to vendetta politics. I am ready to face hundred such cases. If you (Siddaramaiah) has any decency you would not resort to such a heinous act.  When the time comes I shall expose both you and your son.  You, your son and your ministers are all corrupt” he alleged.

He questioned if any inquiry was conducted when hundreds of documents were seized in Congress legislator Muniratna’s house. He brought up the issue of Hublot watch. He said Modi and Amit Shah are not needed to pull him down but the people of the State will decided against him.

He insisted that Siddaramaiah has to give accounts for the funds received from Centre.  If this continues, he said he would ask all Union Ministers from BJP to not meet Siddaramaiah as it would create unnecessary problem to the State.

After the meet at Freedom Park BJP leaders and hundreds of workers attempted to enter Vidhana Soudha but were prevented by the police, who arrested them and released them later.  The protest was a direct reaction to Amit Shah slamming State BJP leaders for not protesting against D K Shivakumar.

Meanwhile, speaking to newspersons D K Shivakumar said people are pouring out information about the misappropriations in BJP and hence wished the BJP leaders well for the protest and said he would give a fitting answer to them shortly. He also said it is not right to accuse without any reason. Let IT officials question me if I am found corrupt, Amit Shah and Yeddyurappa are not IT officials, he said.

The BJP protest that was taken up at various districts proved a damp squid. In Srinivasapura, Kolar, BJP leader distributed Rs 2000 to each who came for the protest.

A core committee consisting of senior BJP leaders said it was hilarious that a FIR has been filed against Yeddyurappa regarding denotification of Shivarama Karantha extension, since the entire land acquisition of that layout has been dismissed by the High Court.

MP Shobha Karandlaje said the State Government is misusing Anti-Corruption Bureau and called to file complaints against Siddaramaiah and ministers in his cabinet. She mentioned Hublot watch and bar licence incidents.
