The forth coming legislature elections will witness some strange collaborations. Friends and foes will change their stands. The Channapattana MLA CP Yogeshwar has joined BJP. To defeat him old rivals of the old Mysuru region DK Shivakumar and HD Kumaraswamy are joining hands. It is said that they have also worked out the strategy, reports Kannada Prabha.

In all probabilities, JD(S) leader Anitha Kumaraswamy may be fielded from Channapatna and to ensure her win, Congress may field a weak candidate. Search is already on to find a dummy candidate and it is planned to field Yogeshwar’s close aide. According to highly placed sources attempts are on to get former TP member Malvegowda and other Yogeshwar’s aides on board. During Rajyotsava, Congress leaders met them and assured to get ticket if they stay back in Congress.

The reason for this is the fact that Yogeshwar has been given the responsibility of rekindling BJP in the old Mysuru region but he wants to grow as a powerful Vokkaliga leader in the region. Yogeshwar's growth will certainly be a threat to DK Shivakumar brothers' hold in Ramanagara, Kanakapura and Bengaluru rural. Hence, to snub him, the Vokkaliga leaders have joined hands.

Shivakumar had met Kumaraswamy recently in the pretext of appraising him on the report of the legislative committee report about power scam. But sources say they also discussed the strategy at Channapatna. Since Anitha Kumaraswamy will be contesting from this constituency, Congress will help her to win. In some other constituencies, JD(S) will back Congress likewise.

In fact it is being said that Yogeshwar left Congress as he found that it is difficult to beat DK Shivakumar's brothers in old Mysuru region. It was also contemplated to field DK Shivakumar’s relative MLC Ravi from Channapatna but it was realised that it would only help Yogeshwar hence the idea was dropped. It was after this that thoughts of fielding Yogeshwar’s close associates occurred. The Congress leaders have also supported this. So, far the BJP has not been able to break into the old Mysuru region. Not letting Yogeshwar grow in this region is also to prevent BJP getting a foothold here, reports Kannada Prabha.
