High Court upholds death sentence for pervert Cyanide Mohan

  • Mohan Kumar alias Cyanide Mohan’s death sentence for killing Sunanda of Dakshina Kannada district has been upheld by the High Court.
  • Cyanide Mohan was also sentenced to death by hanging by subordinate court in other 2 cases of killings but in both the cases the death sentences were set aside by the HC.
  • However, in Sunanda murder case the HC upheld the death sentence pronounced by the lower court.
Death sentence for Cyanide Mohan upheld by High Court

Mohan Kumar alias Cyanide Mohan’s death sentence for killing one Sunanda from Dakshina Kannada district and stealing her gold jewellery has been upheld by the High Court, reported Kannada Prabha.

Cyanide Mohan was also sentenced to death by hanging by subordinate court in other 2 cases of killing one Anitha from Bantwal taluk and one Leelavathi of Venur village, Beltangadi taluk by administering cyanide but in both the cases the death sentences pronounced were set aside by the HC. However, in Sunanda murder case the HC upheld the sentence of the lower court.

Cyanide Mohan had lured Sunanda of a job and marriage and taken her to Mysuru. He gave her cyanide at KSRTC bus stand and left with her jewellery. He had taken a fake name Shashidhar to lure Sunanda.
