They took cash Rs 2.5 lakhs and 500 gms gold jewelry and vanished at 5 am. They had covered their faces with white cloth and were speaking in Hindi.
A gang of 6 entered the house of a doctor couple at wee hours on Tuesday at Jakkur Main Road, tied up the family and looted cash and jewelry, reported Kannada Prabha.

Dacoits struck Dr Chetha and Manjunath Gowda’s house and took away Rs 2.5 lakh cash and around 500 gms gold jewelry. The couple has a clinic near their house. On Tuesday early morning the dacoits cup open the grill and entered the house. They entered the first floor and saw Dr Chethana and her husband Manjunath Gowda fast asleep and started looking for valuables in the cupboards.
The noise woke up the couple. The dacoits threatened them with weapons and blindfolded them. The aksed Chethana to tell where the gold was and tok them. Then they brought the couple down and made them wake up Chethana’s mother and daughter. They blindfolded them also. Later all family members were tied up with ropes. They took cash Rs 2.5 lakh and vanished at around 5 am, said the police.
Manjunath managed to get himself free and then freed other family members and called 100. Immediately the Amruthahalli police arrived at the spot and investigated.
The dacoits had covered their faces with white cloths and were talking in Hindi said Dr Chethana. The Amruthahalli police are watching the CCTV camera footages of the surrounding area and found the identity of one man. The investigations are on.
