Congress gets into campaign mood, hijacking BJP’s Vistarak camps

The State Congress Government is getting ready to reach out to every voter propagating that it has delivered as assured. It is preparing handbills stating the assurances given and mission accomplished of State Government as compared to the BJP Union Government. At the first meeting of the KPCC office bearers at the KPCC office on Friday the Congress leaders impressed upon the members to get engaged in the campaign similar to the BJP’s Vistarak meets, reported Kannada Prabha.

The members were advised that the KPPC office bearer is not a decorative post and not to flaunt power but to work alongside the workers. If they show slackness they would be replaced, they were warned.  All the leaders and office bearers took an oath to bring the Party to power by dedication. The meeting was held with State Congress in-charge K C Venugopal, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar headed.  The office bearers were trained by the leaders for the 2018 elections.

Venugopal said it is a good opportunity to accomplish Mission 2018 in the coming elections. AICC has decided to emulate the Karnataka Model in the entire nation. Hence the High Command has all details of all the office bearers and at any time high command can contact and inquire about the progress.  Till elections are over, the office bearers have to stay at their given constituencies and in-charge districts.  All office bearers should postpone all personal commitments and if cases anybody cannot take on the responsibility they can quit now, as a large number aspirants are waiting to take over.  Any complaint about anybody not performing their duties will be removed and new one inducted, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar said pamphlets will be printed depicting the achievements of the State Government, and the former UPA government,  failures and corruption of  previous BJP government, The lapses in the present 3 year old NDA government led by BJP etc. The office bearers must reach it to every house in the State, he stressed.

KPCC president Dr Parameshwar later told newspersons that all office bearers have been allocated specific districts and constituencies and toll elections are over they have to stay at the place and work hard to bring the Congress Party to power again. Every district has one vice-presidents, 2 to 3 general secretaries as incharge. Every secretary are responsible for  2 constituencies.  Till the elections are over they have to take complete charge of the district and constituencies, he said.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the State Government has no scams, scandals or complaints of corruption. Hence the BJP may try to fix it using Income Tax Department and Implementation Department. Hence all office bearers must be extremely careful in the next 7 to 8 months and not to get into any scams or scandals.

There were many absentees to the meeting including Meena Toogudeepa, actor Darshan’s mother, Hussain, Anand Kumar, N A Gafoor.
