Complaint filed against Siddaramaiahs son

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son Dr Yatindra Siddaramaaih who is hogging headlines for acting on behalf his father - in Varuna constituency - is in trouble again. A complaint against him has been filed in Income Tax Department for allegedly holding benami properties worth crores of rupees. Complainant Varthur Kanakadasa has allegedly complained against Dr Yatindra claiming that chief minister's son was allegedly in possession of illegal properties including the Matrix Imaging Solutions.

Dr Yatindra was the director of Matrix Imaging Solutions, a private firm that bagged plum contracts from the state government to set up labs, at state-run hospitals in Bengaluru, Kalaburagi and Mysuru. Opposition parties attacked chief minister over conflict of interest with his son at the help of Solutions. RTI activist Bhaskaran had even filed a complaint demanding a transparent inquiry into the scam with Anti-Corruption Bureau. Following the allegations of nepotism, Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah quit from the director's post.

Dr Yatindra, of late, had been looking after his father's constituency, Varuna. He has been criticised for holding a meeting of Mysore Urban Development Authority officials - recently - without having any constitutional rights. Yet, he continues to do so claiming that he was helping his father who otherwise could not concentrate on his constituency from his busy schedule.
