Later speaking at S Hosakote, Nanjangud, after laying the foundation stone for the primary health centre he said he had enough of elections but the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi insisted that he should contest the elections and hence he has decided to contest. He also appealed to the public to bless him.

Giving life to a rumor that was doing the rounds that CM’s son Dr Yatindra is going to contest from Varuna, Siddaramaiah said “Varuna people have blessed me twice, getting me a victory with 30,000 votes. Since I could not visit the constituency more often I had put my son Rakesh to take care here. Now I have made my other son Dr Yatindra to give up his job and come here to work”

Dr Yatindra who recently got his primary membership of the Party had given his official address as that of Siddaramanahundi, in the Varuna Constituency, giving rise to speculations.
