Bengaluru: In a terrifying incident, BMTC has grabbed the headlines for the wrong reason. A junior officer of the BMTC was suspended after he was caught sexually harassing an employee in his cabin at the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) head office. The accused has been identified as Channabasappa, who is an employee of BMTC and works with the BMTC developmental unit.

According to a Bangalore Mirror report, this act was recorded over a mobile which later. A complaint led to an inquiry by an internal committee who later determined that the officer be suspended. The victim has also stated that that this was not the first time the officer misbehaved with her.

The report also said that Channabasappa worked with the BMTC for the past 15 years and had allegedly sexually harassed other women in the workplace.

The victim has chosen not to file any complaint with the police in this regard, so no case has been registered.
