BJP high command halts ambitious Janardhan Reddy in his tracks

Mining accused former BJP minister Janardhan Reddy who was making a desperate veiled attempt to get into action mode in view of elections in the state next year, has been asked to stay away from the party politics by the party high command.

The party high command has reportedly asked the State BJP leaders BS Yeddyurappa and others to keep Reddy away from being actively involved in the party affairs as the party wants to project a clean image. "Unless someone is cleared of all the charges, there would be no entry into the party fold," reports Prajavani quoting a senior BJP leader.

Janardhan Reddy who is out on bail was trying all means to be recognised in the party activities, all over again. He had been touring his district and on couple of occasions, he had even stated that he is striving to strengthen the party in the state to ensure that the party comes to power. "Yeddyurappa is our CM candidate and I will be striving to bring the party to power," Reddy had told on many occasions. He had even reportedly tried to seek help of some of the senior leaders in the party to contest in the next elections.

It is reported that Janardhan Reddy had tried to take the help of his close confidante and MP B Sriramulu to convince MP Yeddyurappa for a ticket in next elections. But with the party high command's strict orders, Yeddyurappa has reportedly clarified them that it was not possible to take him back into party fold without the High Command's permission, reports Prajavani.

Also, no BJP leader is ready to support Reddy. The party leaders are reportedly treading a cautious line before associating themselves with Reddy, these days. Considering this, Reddy had recently stated that he was not keen to contest in the next elections.
