Bhaskar Shetty murder case Wife accused of killing husband asks police How do you know it is my husbands body

Rajeshwari Shetty, accused in the alleged murder of her husband Bhaskar Shetty has dared the court with her writ petition after the court decided not to release her on bail. "How did you grant a death certificate when you have not proved my husband's death," she questioned in her writ petition.

Bhaskar Shetty murder case had shocked entire Karnataka as he was allegedly killed by the wife and son in the most brutal manner with the help of a priest.

Currently, Rajeshwari, son Navaneeth Shetty and preist Niranjan are in the police custody. Rajeshwari had filed a bail plea, which the court rejected due to the degree of a murder accusation. Angry Rajeshwari has now filed a writ petition and has expressed fear that her NRI husband's property will be distributed among without her.

It was claimed that Rajeshwari and Navaneeth were used to living a luxurious life and when husband Bhaskar Shetty returned from abroad, he started controlling their expenses and ways of life. This made the mother and son worried, who planned to get all the property transferred to their name by allegedly killing the wealthy husband and filing a missing complaint.

But timely complaint by Bhaskar Shetty's mother and family brought them under the books of law, and the mother-son duo was arrested. Shetty's mother had accused Rajeshwari of threatening her husband.

Now, the court is yet to respond to the writ petition submitted by Rajeshwari. Though bones of Bhaskar Shetty (allegedly) were found in a stream and tested positive, Rajeshwari claims that these bones cannot prove that it is Bhaskar Shetty and he is dead. Thus, her petition stands on a point that Bhaskar's body was not found.

The details of alleged murder are gory as first he was killed by poisoning and then his body was fixed in the ritual fire and burnt till only bones remained.
