Bengaluru road stretch named after Parvathamma Rajkumar

  • The board name on the road stretch was inaugurated by Parvathamma's son Raghavendra Rajkumar.
  • He pointed out that increasing the greenery on the stretch would be the best tribute to his mother.
  • A musical concert as a tribute to Parvathamma has also been organised by the Rajkumar band in Mysuru on Sunday.
Bengaluru road stretch named after Parvathamma Rajkumar

The South End Road stretch between Nittur Srinivas Rao circle and Madhavan Rao have been named after the late Parvathamma Rajkumar, film producer and wife of legendary Kannada actor Rajkumar. As a tribute to the producer, Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) inaugurated the name board with her son Raghavendra Rajkumar as the chief guest.

Raghavendra, while inaugurating the board, said that the greenery on the stretch should be increased to pay the best tribute to his mother. Parvathamma Rajkumar died at the age of 77 years in May this year. 

Meanwhile, the Rajkumar Musical Group has organised a music programme 'Abhimanigala Mangala' at 6:30 pm on Sunday in Mysore at Nadabrahma Sangeeta Sabha on JLB Road. The concert has been organised to pay a tribute to the revered producer Parvathamma Rajkumar and theater artiste Srikanta Gundappa. According to a report by the Star of Mysore, the singers who are likely to participate in the concert include stalwarts like Jayaram, Revanna, Srikanta Rao, Shashi and others.
