The prices of vegetables, flowers and fruits have not changed for quite some time after a steep hike. This might worry people who might have to shell out a lot of money to celebrate the upcoming festivals in a grand way.

The prices of beans, bitter gourd, carrot, beetroot and other vegetables are currently stable. People are seen buying costly vegetables including tomato and onion in smaller quantities.

Snake gourd is sold at Rs 40 per kg, peas costs Rs 120 per kg, double beans cost Rs 60 per kg.

However, prices of  flowers have come down when compared to Ganesh Chaturthi festival. But chances of prices increasing just before Dasara and Deepavali are more. Currently, jasmine costs between Rs 100 and Rs 120, Kanakambara costs Rs 250 to Rs 300.

Prices will increase during festivals, says vendor Imthiyaz.
