Beef is banned in Constitution says Governor Vajubhai Vala

All those politicians who are propagating beef eating as a right should read the Constitution. According to Section 48, cow slaughter is banned and beef eating can attract legal action said Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, reported Kannada Prabha.

Speaking after inaugurating a State Advocates’ Conference at Parvathamma Shamanur Shivashankarappa Community hall on Sunday Vajubhai said there is a need for uniform legal system applying to all religions, and the responsibility of implementing uniform legal code falls on the lawyers, he said.  

Advocating one nation one law he said it was also the aim of Adhivakta Parishad founder Duttopanth. India is a country where people from all religions coexist. Jains, Buddhist and Christians come under Hindu law. Laws must apply to everybody irrespective of religion, he said.
