The sources have said that Aurobindo Vidyamandir at Kamalanagar in Rajajinagar does not have the license or permission to run a high school. In fact, the place was acquired on contract to run just a nursery school.

Aurobindo Vidyamandir came into existence when the institute took the BDA site on contract on March 20, 1997. The condition was that the institute would just run a nursery school. But currently, the school is allegedly running a primary and high school without permission.

Following the reports, The BDA Commissioner had cancelled the contract with the educational institute on April 17, 2017. He has also sent a notice to the administration of the school that according to the contract the school should return the documents to the authorities concerned and vacate the building.

However, the school authorities are not ready to vacate the building. Instead, the notification from the school administration states that they will challenge the BDA’s decision in the court and will continue to operate from the same building.
