Now, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr Yatindra, regarded his political heir, has finally been entrusted with official power to work “on-behalf” of his father and chief minister in Varuna constituency.

Dr Yatindra has been made the chairman of Housing Projects Vigilance Committee of Varuna constituency. A letter in this regard is signed by the additional secretary CS Shivakumaraswami, reports Kannada Prabha. Since Siddaramaiah has additional responsibilities, Dr Yatindra’s appointment will come as a major help to look after his constituency, it is said.

Recently, Dr Yatindra had held a meeting of Mysuru Development Authority officials at his residence. With not having any constitutional right to conduct such meetings, Dr Yatindra was widely criticised. After the demise of his elder son, Rakesh Siddaramaiah, Siddaramaiah is promoting Dr Yatindra, who is learning the ropes. By appointing him to the committee, chief minister Siddaramaiah has not only come to the rescue of his son but has also cleared air about Yatindra’s future face.
