No tickets for Ambareesh and Shamanur Shivashankarappa for next polls?

  • Congress carefully making list of winnable candidates
  • Booth-level workers have been asked to identify right persons
  • However, the list is yet to be made official
Ambareesh Shamanur Shivashankarappa lose ticket for next elections

With BJP strategically making its poll preparations in the state, the State Congress unit has gone one step ahead and is carefully making the list of "winnable legislators". In all probabilities, many of the present legislators may not be handed over the tickets in the next year's elections. Of the 123 legsilators, 39 legislators may not be lucky to get the tickets to contest in the next election, reports Suvarna News.

Some of the names are a popular guess considering their performance in the last four years. However, the list is not final until an official announcement by the party is made.

Here are some of the legislators who may not get tickets: MH Ambareesh (Mandya), Shamanur Shivashankarappa (Davangere, South), AB Malakareddy (Yadgir), NV Gopalakrishna (Ballari rural), Rudresh Gowda (Belur), BB Chimmankatti (Badami), AS Patil Nadahalli (Devarahipparagi), G Ramakrishna (Kalaburagi, rural), BM Nagaraj (Siraguppa), Shivamurthy Naika (Mayakonda) and RAjesh (Jagaluru).

However, some of these legislators are said to be working overtime to get tickets for at least one of their relatives. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is said to be looking for winnable candidates to ensure its win. Booth-level workers have been strictly told to refer winnable candidates from their jurisdiction.
