After Gujarat legislators now Tamil Nadu legislators take refuge in State resort

After the Gujarat legislators were huddled up at a resort near Bengaluru during the Rajya Sabha elections over there, now 13 Tamil Nadu legislators are staying at a resort in Kodagu. In the event of AIADMK senior MLA ST K Jakkayyan returning to Chief Minister EK Palaniswamy faction, TTV Dhinakaran faction has been put on alert and all 13 MLAs in its hold have been shifted to Paddington Resort, in Tonduru, near Kambibane at Sunti Koppa, Kodagu, reports Kannada Prabha.

All of them were staying at a resort in Pondicherry since 15 days and have been shifted to Kodagu now. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has called a meeting of the board on Sept 12 to expel Sasikala from the Party’s general secretary post. A majority decision in this meeting will prove to be a big disaster for both Sasikala and Dhinkaran. Hence, to teach a lesson to Palaniswamy, who is facing a shortage of some votes, Dhinakaran has captured all MLAs under his control and is monitoring them.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Vidhana Sabha Speaker has issued a notice to all 19 MLAs of Dinakaran faction to present themselves before him on Sept 14. The notice is issued on the heels of pressure from the Opposition DMK and Congress to AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran to indicate their majority in the Palaniswamy-led government.
