3 boys arrested for molesting minor for not reciprocating love

A 11 year old girl was dragged to a deserted place and molested for not agreeing to love by a group of boys of 14 to 16 years of age. The Ramamurthy Nagar police arrested 3 boys and another boy is absconding, reported Kannada Prabha.

The incident happened on July 10 and came to light late, said the police. The girl is a 7th standard student residing at Vijinapura with her parents. On July 10 she was returning from school at 5 pm. A group of boys between the age of 14 and 16 stopped her and one boy asked her to love him. When she refused the boy forcibly kissed her on the cheek. The girl got angry and slapped him. The group of boys then dragged her to a deserted place and molested and beat her.  One boy chewed paan masala and spit on her face.

The girl reached home and did not tell her parents as she was scared.  But she had high fever and body ache due to the thrashing.  Then she narrated the incident to her parents, who immediately lodged a complaint with the Ramamurthy Nagar police station. The police registered a complaint under POCSO and took the 3 boys into custody and interrogated. Another boy is absconding.  Of the arrested boys, 2 are studying and the other two are school dropouts, said the police reported Kannada Prabha.
