Maruthi, 18 of Honnuru village was admitted to the Jadhav Clinic in KB Layout in Davanagere on August 29 as he was complaining of stomach ache. But instead of improving, he had to be taken home dead.

18-year-old Maruthi was complaining of stomach ache. He was admitted at the Jadhav Clinic at 8 pm.

Within a span of one hour the clinic In-charge gave five injections and two bottles of glucose to Maruthi. His parents Hanumanthappa and Prameelamma were asked to take him home after all the injections were given.

He was discharged at around 9 pm. They had not even travelled two kilometres, Maruthi started throwing up foam. But the time they took him back to the clinic, the doctor said that he was brought dead to teh hospital.

Relatives and villagers gathered in front of the hospital and started shouting slogans against the clinic, keeping the body of Maruthi in front of the clinic.

The parents have accused the doctors of negligence and said that their son might have died of overdose. They have demanded probe in the matter and punishment to the doctor.

The grief stricken parents are in a state of shock after losing their 18-year-old son.
