Visva Bharati vandalism: ABVP demands CBI probe

Kolkata: ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) students took out a march demanding a CBI probe into the Visva-Bharati vandalism case. ABVP halted at the CBI Office located in CGO Complex, Salt Lake, demanding a CBI probe and proper punishment to those responsible for the Visva Bharati vandalism.
ABVP students marched from the front of the Rabindranath statue situated in Salt Lake Central Park to the CGO Complex. ABVP students protested by sitting on the street in front of the CGO gate. The protest went on for quite some time. They demanded appropriate punishment for the culprits involved in the incident.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad raided the CGO complex in front of Central Park in Salt Lake with a picture of Rabindranath Tagore demanding appropriate punishment through a CBI probe into the incident.
On August 17, chaos erupted at the Visva Bharati campus as a large number of people ransacked the university's properties, protesting the construction of a boundary wall on the Poush Mela ground.
