Lucknow: Eight passengers in a bus at Hathipur village in Uttar Pradesh were shocked as two men got into the bus and pointed a gun at the conductor and snatched his bag before getting down at Bilari and escaped on a motorbike. The bus belongs to UPSRTC and is from Budaun depot.

The incident was reported on Thursday (July 30). As per reports, two men stopped the bus at Bilari and pointed the gun when the conductor took his ticket collection machine to give them a ticket.

According to a report, one of the men asked the driver to stop the bus saying he forgot his mobile phone at home will get down. The moment the brakes were applied and the conductor took his ticket collection machine, another man took out a revolver. The conductor was in shock and just handed over the cash bag and the ticket machine.

Later, the conductor Satyendra Tripathi informed police about the incident.

Bus driver Rampal Singh was quoted as saying, “They snatched the bag, got down and fled from the spot. Around eight passengers were in the bus at the time of the incident. We then informed the local area police about the incident.”

A case has been registered against unknown persons, who are still at large, under section 392 (punishment for robbery) of IPC, a report said.
