TMC trade union under fire for 'vulgar' I-Day show
The Trinamool Congress trade union today came under fire for allegedly organising a 'vulgar' dance programme during an Independence day celebration in the city which caused quite a flutter after the event was aired by many TV channels.
Â
In a prompt response later in the day, the TMC leadership came down heavily on the organisers of the programme and said they will be shunted out of the party.
Â
The incident came to light after a video footage was played in various TV channels where a scantily dressed woman was shown dancing to the tunes of a Bhojpuri song at an Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC)-organised programme on the Independence day in Esplanade area of the city.
Â
State Power minister and INTTUC leader Sovan Deb Chattopadhyay said he condemned such act and that the party did not support these kind of vulgar shows.
Â
He affirmed that the organisers of the event will be thrown out of the party.
