The mortal remains of Major Manoj, one of the 19 army personnel who were killed in the Pulgaon fire, were brought to his native place in Kerala on June 2.

Military officials gave a guard of honour when the body of the Major was brought at the airport. Power Minister Kadakampally Surendran represented the state government there.

The body, which was kept at the military hospital in Pangode, would be brought to the Major's residence today morning for the public to pay homage. The last rites will be held at Shanthi Kavadam at Thycaud with full military honours.
