PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Bengaluru Tech Summit today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 23rd edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020 virtually on Thursday. The Bengaluru Tech Summit is scheduled to be held between November 19-21.
Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2020 on Thursday.
This is the 23rd edition of the annual flagship event of the Departments of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology.
While BTS is gearing up for its first virtual version since its genesis, the central theme will be 'Next is Now' highlighting the significance of advancing the future at an accelerated pace and the need for preparedness by using innovations and technological interventions, a statement by the organisers read.
After inspecting the venue set up at a hotel in the city on Wednesday, Deputy CM CN Ashwath Narayan said, "We have made elaborate arrangements to make BTS a grant success as the event sessions are going 100% virtual. After Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the tech summit 22 years back, it is for the second time a Prime Minister is inaugurating the event".
The Summit will be addressed by over 250 domain experts including over 80 Global personalities focusing on the most disruptive technologies and innovations across the globe under four major themes namely Knowledge Hub, Innovation Corner, One Health and Country Sessions.
Some of the key focus areas of the summit are: Aerospace and defence Technologies, Healthcare, Future of Work, Start-up for Public Good, Electronics & Semiconductor, Reimagining Digital Health and COVID-19 pandemic preparedness, among others.
The multi-track conference will feature over 70 sessions addressed by over 250 world class speakers. International exhibition will consist of 250 plus exhibitors from Start Ups to IT and Biotech majors as well as R&D and academic institutes showcasing their services, products, and technologies to more than 4,000 delegates, and over 20,000 business visitors.
