Taanashah (dictator), dhongi (hypocrite), nikamma (worthless), chor (thief), gunda (goon)... These are some of the words that find mention in a booklet that will be handed over to legislators in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the start of the 4-day assembly session.

The 38-page booklet lists over 1600-odd phrases and sentences commonly used by MLAs inside the state assembly. The list was compiled using remarks that have been expunged during assembly debates in nearly last five decades.

The list also includes words like 'Pappu', which is a jibe BJP leaders often use to target Congress leader and Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi.

It also includes words like 'Mr Batadhar' or spoilsport, which is a jibe commonly used to target another Congress leader and former state chief minister Digvijaya Singh.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who unveiled the booklet on Sunday, said that often members of the assembly cross the limits and use specific unparliamentary words.

The booklet would ensure decorum inside the state assembly.

The Opposition, however, has questioned the need for bringing out such a booklet.
