Three people were killed and six others injured when a speeding car travelling from Nagpur to Sehore collided with a parked Eicher truck in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district, an official said.
CMHO Confirms Casualties and Treatment Details
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO, Betul), Manoj Hurmade, said that the accident occurred near Paregaon junction, Multai, in the district and the injured were brought to the Community Health Centre in Multai via 108 ambulance at around 3 am on Saturday.
"An car, which was travelling from Nagpur to Sehore, collided with an Eicher truck parked near Paregaon Junction in Multai. There were nine people in the car. Three of them died, while six others were injured. The injured were provided treatment at the Community Health Centre in Multai. Among the injured, three were referred to Betul District Hospital, but their family members took them to Nagpur for further treatment," CMHO Hurmade told ANI.
He further said, "The injured were brought to the hospital in a 108 ambulance at around 3 am. The post-mortem process of the deceased was underway, and after that their bodies will be handed over to their family members."
The passengers were reportedly travelling from Nagpur to Sehore when the accident occurred, the official added. (ANI) (more details awaited)
