Karnataka reports 2,740 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday
2,740 more people were tested positive for COVID-19 in Karnataka on Sunday while 2360 more people recovered from the infection. The death toll rose to 11,391 as 22 more deaths in the last few days were linked to the pandemic on Sunday.
FollowBengaluru: Bengaluru has reported 58 percent of the new COVID-19 cases recorded in the state as 2,740 more people tested positive on Sunday, November 8.
Meanwhile, the total recoveries in the state crossed the 8-lakh mark as 2,360 more people recovered from the infection. The COVID-19 positivity rate in the last 24 hours was recorded at 2.33 percent in the state.
Active cases in Karnataka have dropped further to 33,678. Â Meanwhile 1,17,345 samples were tested including 26,811 Rapid Antigen Detection Tests across the state.
Other districts that reported the most cases on Sunday were Mysuru (135), Mandya (111), and Chitradurga (106). The death toll rose to 11,391 as 22 more deaths in the last few days were linked to the pandemic on Sunday.
Meanwhile Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state in India with 103,007 active cases and 44,965 deaths on Saturday, followed by Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Delhi.
