Like other boards, the PUC II exam was also affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The only remaining paper (English) which was originally scheduled to be held on March 23, was conducted on June 18. The students took up the exam following appropriate social distancing norms and health checks.

The department of pre-university education had issued the standard operating procedures for conducting the examination including sanitising the exam halls, the length of the benches, the number of students to be present in each room, thermal screening and usage of sanitisers and masks.

Karnataka is one of the few states which conducted the examinations during the coronavirus crises. The results, however, were pushed due to the lockdown situation by over two months.

The state education board had earlier decided that the result will be out by July 20. However, the results have been announced earlier to the date.
