While the Kamal Nath government has been left to deal with the resignation Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 other MLAs from the government, the BJP welcomed the former Congress leader into the party. It didn’t take too long for the now ‘saffronised’ Scindia to be offered a ticket to the Rajya Sabha

The party has, reportedly, been declared Jyotiraditya Scindia a nominee for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.

On Wednesday afternoon, party president JP Nadda inducted Jyotiraditya Scindia to the party where he along with Scindia spoke on the occasion.

“This is a very democratic party where every individual has his/her say. I hope that Scindia will also get an opportunity to participate in all the activities of the party and see to it that the BJP becomes the rightful instrument in changing the destiny of the country,” JP Nadda said.

A thankful Scindia took the occasion to break his silence on the recent developments, stating, “There have been two life changing events for me; one, the day I lost my father and the second, yesterday when I decided to choose a new path for my life.

Scindia also stated that “the Congress party is not the party that it was earlier”.
