For investors, who were victims of the multi-crore IMA ponzi scam, there is now a ray of hope.

In a media briefing, Special officer Harsh Gupta detailed how investors could get back their deposits. 

Gupta said that government has made arrangements for investors to submit their application details online at AtalJi Janasnehi Kendra by November 24.

He also said that in case an investor had passed away, their kin can claim the deposit. However, they would have to submit all related documents. 

A helpline -- 080-46885959 -- has been dedicated for this purpose. 

Investors can get information over whatsApp using this number: 79755-68889. 

In case, investors do not have Aadhaar details, they can still submit the application by furnishing the UTI number after paying Rs 1 at any nationalised bank. 

Recently, the promotor of IMA and fraudster Mansoor Khan was released on bail in connection with the scam that is said to be over Rs 2,000 crores
