Amit Shah had tested positive for COVID-19 infection and was admitted to hospital. Now, he has recovered
New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah has tested negative for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The minister on Friday (August 14) tweeted about the same.
He wrote,"Today my COVID-19 test came as negative. I thank to god and express gratitude to all those who have blessed me and my family by wishing me well. I will stay in home isolation for a few more days on the advice of doctors."
On Sunday (August 2), he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to hospital.

“I have tested positive for COVID-19 and request people who have come in contact with me to get tested,” he had stated in social media.
He took tests after showing symptoms of coronavirus and the report showed he was positive for the infection, after which he took to Twitter to inform people.
