Here is what Trump had to say to Modi

Donald Trump was sworn-in as the 45th President of the United States of America recently and just four days later, he called the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All of us must be wondering what did they speak about and why did even Trump call Modi?

Trump referred India as the “true friend” of US and invited the Indian Prime Minister to visit the US later this year.  The two leaders also discussed about trade, defence and terrorism.

"During a call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, President Trump emphasised that the US considers India a true friend and partner in addressing challenges around the world," the White House said in a read out call.

All said and done four days ago when Trump was sworn-in as the Prime Minister of the US, he had said clearly “Buy American, Hire American!” Ever since Trump had won the Presidential election, the Indians were in a spot of bother in the US.

The students who were aspiring to go to the US for higher education have started changing their country preferences. The working professionals have started to think about moving back to India or some other country in the world.

If Trump considers India as a “true friend” of the US, then why should the Indians worry so much? At least after the two leaders exchanged their thoughts and dreams, should not the commoners be much more relaxed? Only time can tell us what do the Indians in the US have in store for them in the future.
